Laura “Fyusha” Ho creates illustrations and experiences that represent the child spirit within us all. Being the only American-born amongst an extensive Vietnamese immigrant family, her overarching motive remains consistent since childhood – to find a place of refuge from the dichotic experiences of her heritage, resulting in an aptitude to depict worlds unbound by time and space. She names her life project “Fyusha” after the solitary hue absent from the visible spectrum of light — a fitting choice for her surreal, impassioned, and ethereal illustrations.

Ho obtained a Bachelor’s in Studio Art from San Francisco State University in 2015. She has been actively sharing work in underground warehouses, galleries, and public spaces across the Bay Area since 2010, including San Francisco Public Library, Cone Shaped Top, and ATA Gallery. She is currently represented by MRKT Gallery in San Francisco and works out of her home studio in Alameda, CA.
